Abstract

This report describes an experiment carried out on two types of schools with children of both sexes aged between 6 and 14 years. The task consists of identifying the similarity or difference between signs whose forms correspond with those of letters. The objective was to determine the influence of age, sex, and intelligence on the task performance, and the influence of the position of the sign within a series of signs. The results of this experiments are described in detail.
