Abstract
There is still too much drunkenness in dutch traffic. On the basis of existing data from a survey done in the city of Rotterdam it is estimated that every year 350 road users are killed and 3500 severely injured. Therefore there is still much to be done to the problem of driving while influenced. But driving while influenced is a penal offence which causes hunderds of deaths and some thousands of severely injured people, and which can be decreased by police enforcement.
