Abstract
Throughout the world one can observe a change of approach to traffic planning whereby, in addition to the economic and geometrical aspects of planning, the limits to the load which can be imposed on the zones bordering the traffic route are also being taken into consideration. The gradual introduction of a procedure for the assessment of environmental impact should ensure that traffic routes are planned in a manner which is environmentally positive.
