Abstract

Modern control and computer technology coupled with small closely spaced offline stations, sized to local demand, permits nonstop routing of vehicles thus achieving a high level of service with the personal rapid transit systems. Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) research projects in the U.S.A. are discussed.
