Abstract
The area to be protected is bounded at the reaer by the transverse vertical plane situated 0.30 metre forward of the tyre of the rear wheel of the first rear wheel in the case of a vehicle equipped with several grouped rear axles. It is bounded in the forward direction by the transverse vertical plane situated: 1)In the case of motor vehicles and trailers having two or more axles,0.30 metre rearward of the front-wheel tyre; 2)In the case of semitrailers,0.25 metre rearward of the median transverse plane of the props;the distance from that plane to the coupling-pin centreline shall however not exceed 2.70 metres.
