Abstract

The study considers the relationship between the form of human settlement and the function of transportation from the point of view of transportation costs, including energy consumption. A narrative and graphic model is developed by examining, on the one hand, the relationship between energy and transportation and, on the other hand the relationship between energy and urban form.
