Abstract

A total of 727 interviews dealing with all aspects of urban guidance for the road user were analyzed. Almost half of all respondents reported feeling lost at some stage of their most recent trip. Of these, about half were actually lost. Rank ordering of problem types showed that most of those ranking high dealt with difficulties in arterial navigation.
