Abstract

Integration is considered under the headings of control and coordination. In 1973 the Central Area Working Party reported to Council with its new Balanced Transport Plan BTP. As expected the Conservatives took control of the new County Council and Labour retained control of the Oxford City District Council. The County Structure Plan was initiated. The effective attempts at policy integration tended to operate across limited although politically significant and central fields.
