Abstract

The report points out that as public transport service increases, so does its cost, and the demand for more tax supported assistance. The report does not provide a comprehensive scheme for evaluating the total system. However, it does outline a conceptual basis for development of system wide indicators in two categories of interest: efficiency and effectiveness.
