Abstract

Traffic problems in large towns have reached a critical stage, and have become one of the main objects of concern both for the competent Authorities who are called upon to solve them and for the various categories of urban road users. In the hope of contributing to finding a solution to these problems, IRU decided to study them mainly with regard to the movement of commercial vehicles used for the carriage of goods. As this problem cannot be studied only from the angle of the commercial vehicle, we will also examine it briefly in a general light.
