Abstract

The three citis of Southampton, Cologne and Piraeus, which form the SCOPE consortium, are developing ATT applications to encourage the use of public transport. This paper describes the installation of systems and user attitudinal surveys for: (1) Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) and real time passenger information; (2) Active bus priority at junctions; (3) Development of multi-modal trip planning terminals; and (4) Use of variable message signs for "Park and Ride".
