Abstract

Standard traffic signs are often overseen or neglected by road users. A main reason seems to be the permanent presence of the signs even when they are not needed or relevant. Tes- ting of so- called feedback systems showing only messages or warning when certain traffic conditions are fulfilled re- veals remarkable improvements in the obedience of road users.
