The use of Give way signs and road markings at intersections.

Abstract

The benefit in using road markings to supplement Give Way signs is presented. An increase in accident and related costs following erection of signs was reversed when markings were added and street widths apparantly influenced that discretion is needed when varying the right-of way rule in this fashion.
