Abstract

Data based were reviewed and analysed in order to determine what "target clusters"- that is, combinations of drinkers, drinking settings, possible intermediaries and types of intervention offer the greatest potential for DWI prevention and deterrence. Two target clusters were suggested for development in Phase II of the project. Younger and older adult males in neighbourhood or home territory bars, service personnel as intermediaries; Youth and younger adult males in singles or market place bars, friends/family as intermediaries.
