Use of the P C A roadmeter for measuring road roughness.

Abstract

The roadmeter, developed by the Portland Cement Association, is described. Investigations into the various factors likely to influence the results, together with possible modifications to the instrument for use in routine roughness surveys are detailed. Some of the possible applications of the values in programming and performance studies are discussed.
