Abstract

The dominant public image of the drinking driver has changed. It has been transformed into that of a perceived habitual and pathological drunk in a chronic alcoholic who is believed to be a potential danger to the general public and to self. Prisons with possibilities of treatment and rehabilitation were set up. One of them The Longwood Treatment Center is evaluated here.
