Abstract

This paper discusses the measurement of user preferences for a demand-responsive transportation system. The study was composed of three phases: survey design, which included the selection and grouping of system characteristics, the adaptation of psychological scaling techniques and the design of an attitudinal survey; data collection, which involved the implementation of a home interview survey in a specific city; and data analysis, which included trade-offs between various design characteristics.
