Abstract

In order to make efficient use of ITS measures in the future long term, planners need a tool for assessing ITS benefits and costs on a strategic level. ITS Deployment Analysis System (IDAS) was developed on this purpose on commission by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in the USA. As the Swedish market is small and the development of a similar tool for Swedish conditions would be both time-consuming and costly, a case study test for Stockholm was performed in order to understand how difficult it would be toadjust and use the IDAS tool on Swedish conditions.
