The French motorway company SAPN has invested in geo-referenced video to provide staff with access to video images of the highway network. The spatial quality of the images allows the video to be interfaced with a map display and with location referencing systems used by the SAPN. This article describes how the power of combined imagery and positioning within a single application has helped SAPN to improve the efficiency and quality of itsoperation, management and maintenance of the highway network.
