Abstract
This report deals with safety helmets of two- wheeled vehicles in the European Community. Recommendations are described regarding. (1) the improvement of the safety of drivers /passengers of two- wheelers by the use of a helmet, subsequently recommendations on the raise of the positive effect of the helmet; (2) the description of an ideal situation in the field of a common legislation on behalf of the safety requirements on the helmet and on its use.
