Abstract

This paper describes the validation processes for the ART 2020 driver performance test system. Firstly criterion validation was carried out by observing driver behaviour in a standardised situation. The age factor was removed to confirm significant correlations. Specific group comparison was then carried out: subjects who had repeatedly failed the driving test with those who were applying for special licenses with increased responsibilities; drivers with no accident record with those with three or more accidents; and the 25% best with the 25% worst drivers. There were highly significant differences between test results, showing correct tendencies. For the covering abstract see ITRD E113725 (C 22328 CD-ROM).
