Abstract

People over 60 years of age in the Netherlands must pass a medical examination before they obtain a driving license. Recently a legal clause has been added that the police has the possibilities to ask for a medical re-examination when there are doubts about the capacities of the driver. Depending upon the outcome the driving license can then be withdrawn.
