Abstract

This report presents, analyses and evaluates the results of a national sample survey on individual attitudes to and valuation of transport safety. The survey was carried out during June and July 1982. The sample was drawn from 93 constituencies in England, Scotland and Wales. The six main sections of the report cover: 1, background to the study; 2, the questionnaire; 3, problems of questionnaire design; 4, the sample; 5, analysis of data and results; and 6, evaluation of results.
