Abstract

In the process of policy preparation, the use of computer programs for forecasting or simulation is a good way to investigate problems and to test possible strategies. The possibilities for re-engineering existing programs into policy supporting systems is discussed. The involvement of future users in the development and evaluation of the system is essential for its success. (A)
