Abstract

The private car and public transport are the foundations of location policy. The slower transport modes, such as walking and cycling, are only used to get to and from other transport modes. In this paper the question is asked if goals with regard to the natural, economical and social environment and individual mobility will be better served by slower transport systems. Two ideal types of spatial infrastructure models are compared. See also the discussion paper B 30769 fo.
