Abstract
This paper gives the results of a computer-based comparative study. Different types of traffic-control systems for junctions in a network are compared, viz.: -a rigid co-ordinated network control system; -a flexible control system with traffic actuated, co-ordination; -a co-ordinated, traffic actuated program selection system. Conclusion: the last one is the best and was implemented in practice.
