Abstract

A study of accidents on heavily trafficked S2 and WS2 rural trunk and principal roads is described.Discussed are the implications of its findings for the concern of the county surveyors' society on accident grounds about the increase of design flows for rural single carriageways in 1974 and for the COBA practice of estimating accidents on the basis of accident rates.
