Vehicle classification using digital inductive loop vehicle detectors.

Abstract

Modern inductive loop vehicle detectors use microprocessors and sampling of loop signals to improve the performance of the detector, but still discard much of the available information.This paper discusses some of the possible uses of the information available from certain loop geometries in relation to vehicle classification and identification.
