Abstract

A review is presented of research into the effects of vehicle exterior design on injuries sustained by pedestrians during auto-pedestrian collisions. Details are given of collision tests carried out with anthropometric dummies. Mention is made of motor vehicle-pedestrian studies carried out in Japan.
