Abstract

The primary goal of the study was to provide data from which minimum acceleration and speed maintenance standards for passenger vehicles and trucks up to 6,000 lb. G.V.W. can be written. Associated with this goal are several intermediate goals which were required for its completion. They were, 1) to develop mathematical models, 2) to obtain the data, 3) to determine the acceleration and speed, 4) to recommended minimum acceleration and speed.
