Abstract

Vehicle-Infrastructure Integration (VII), organizing all traffic elementsan organic system, can deeply improve traffic safety and mobility. To do researches in VII environment, we established an Experimental Platform at an isolated intersection in Jiading campus, Tongji University, Shanghai, from which one can get real-time data (vehicle position, speed, acceleration, gaps, signal status) for further study. This paper first gives an overview of platform, and then three subsystems (1) Intelligent Vehicle subsystem (2) Signal Control subsystem (3) OBE-RSE Communication subsystem are mainly described in detail. Finally, suggestions about the platform construction in the coming days are also given.
