Abstract

This short paper written from a manufacturer's perspective, indicates how passenger lifts form an essential part of an accessible transport chain, and are being adapted to tomorrow's needs. Examples of good practice in Europe and North America are given. These include a step lift for buses and vertical motion lifts with visible twin pillar support for coaches.
