Abstract

Road transport operations are diverse both in scale and complexity and the acquisition of a vehicle implies a future financial commitment of an unknown magnitude. It is postulated that these problems can be solved by the application of modern techniques to the management of vehicle fleets. The solution lies in co-operation between vehicle owners and manufacturers.
