Abstract

The modifications in the governmental policy for more privatization, deregulation and decentralization give the public transport companies the possibility for solving the problems of accessibility and living with traffic in their own way. The "region" and the "market" are better aible to contribute to the specifications set in the national Structurescheme for Traffic and Transport (SVV) than a system in which the central government dictates the policy.
