Abstract

During the middle of the sixteens a number of new, mostly Japanese, car models was inroduced on the Dutch market. The oligopolistic market structure gave no prevention to this introduction. The development of the Dutch passenger car market during 1955-1980 is discussed and analyzed. Attention is paid to the different methods by which the competition on the Dutch market is carried on.
