Abstract

Speed limits on roads outside towns have already been introduced in several countries and are at present being discussed and tried out. By way of an example, a structure analysis of parameters affecting the individual acceptance of speed limits has been carried out for vehicles with spiked tyres and has led to a number of measurable factors which exert a general influence on driving behaviour: careless attitudes towards motor vehicles and driving a tendency to assert one's autonomy in regard to legal stipulations and decrees, driving experience, age, etc.
