Abstract

By means of the head-on collision it is shown how the structural compatibility of vehicles of varying masses can be increased through measures on deformation zones and cells. The approach consist of substituting three vehicles with different weights to represent the "vehicle world". On one occasion the medium-sized vehicle takes over the role of the larger car, and on another occasion it takes over the role of the smaller car.
