Abstract

The design of main roads in villages must meet the following requirements: space for pedestrians and cyclists, little speed differences between cyclists and cars, and parking space. It seems possible to quantify the subjective lack of safety of pedestrian and cyclists by the criterion of waiting time for crossing pedestrians and by the chance of not safe situation for cyclists.
