Abstract
Up to now road networks have in general been assessed by means of quantities relating to specific roads, e.g. mean travel speeds on the individual network section. The present study develops the transition to road-network evaluation on the basis of the relationship between traffic sources and destinations in a manner similar to that in which this was developed into a travel matrix by analyzing traffic volumes at give intersections.
