Abstract

Information on the tractive force relation ships occurring at the individual wheels of a vehicle especially on a wet pavement is very important for the theoretical soundness of designs guidelines. During braking tests, the forces acting between tyre and pavement as well as the accelerations consequently acting on the vehicle body unit including the body unit speed are measured with a vehicle on an actual pavement by means of special measuring equipment on all four wheels.
