Abstract

In this paper the authors discuss the verification and repeatability of pavement condition data collected along Western Australia's extensive State road network. Results of verification and repeatability testing, on roughness and rut depth measurements, are presented together with discussion on the adherence of these results to Austroads' Guidelines for Pavement Condition Monitoring. Techniques used for the verification and repeatability of texture depth measurements are also outlined. In particular, the use of the Stationary Laser Profiler as a verification tool for texture depth measurements is discussed. Suggested improvements to Austroads' Guidelines for Pavement Condition Monitoring are also provided. (Author/publisher) For the covering entry of this conference, please see ITRD abstract no.
