Abstract
The growing demand to transport leads to an unacceptable big distraint on space and environment. These possibilities to decrease this distraint are discussed. Consequent application of the price- mechanism confronts people with the real costs caused by transport Stimulation of alternative transport modes as the bicycle and the high speed train. Improvement of the physical planning for the locations for work and dwellings are discussed.
