Abstract

Explanation of the phenomenon log-linear model in relation to a standard matrix. The authors discuss the various (inter) dependencies of variables by the example of interviews in four shopping centres in The Hague during a long strike by the local public transport system. The log-linear model is very much suited to systematic reconnaissance of the relations between variables in a data base and can be used quite extensively.
