Abstract

The changed traffic volumes result in changes of congestion on the screenline. After the opening the IJ-tunnel is free of congestion. At the Coentunnel and the Velsertunnel journey time losses resulting from congestion have decreased with respectively 39 and 58%. As a result of the opening of the Ring-road Amsterdam with the Zeeburgertunnel one of the changes there have been is a change in the traffic volume on the screenline North Sea Canal/IJsselmeer. The effect of the opening on traffic volumes is a growth of 4, 5% on the screenline.
