On the basis of their high accident involvement young cyclists and moped riders are identified as a specific high risk group of road users. However, little attentions has been devoted to the traffic education of this group of road users and the existing traffic education programs are hardly based on empirical data with regard to the accident involvement and traffic behaviour. In this report the results of the existing accident analysis concerning cyclist and moped riders in the age group between 5 and 18 years are reviewed.
