Abstract

A number of equilibrium models, namely an assignment model and an assignment model in combination with distribution models are presented. An essential objection against current models is that they premise the capacity of the road network to be a given quantity. The traffic streams on heavily trafficked road networks become dependent on this quantity and these models cannot give an answer to questions about improvements of the auto-network.
