Abstract
From figures of the Report on traffic noise and highway design the following topics are highlighted: factors which determine the noise production on or along motorways, the soil absorption and overgrowth, the distance between the road and the building, vegetation for the benefit of noise abatement, soundlines or isolines and the so called kincribwalls.
