Abstract

More and more people suffer from noise hindrance and in particular from traffic noise hindrance. There are many causes for this noise: the increase of the population; the growth of the standard of life by which almost everyone goes to his work in his own car and the unlucky way of planning of highways in residential areas. Physical, medical, psychological, economical, legal and technical aspect of traffic noise are discussed.
