Abstract
The demonstration project on reclassification and reconstruction of urban areas or residential areas was introduced among other reasons to test the efficiency of the different redivision models. Besides the study of this efficiency the importance was distinguished of the process of public participation and of the consultations between the different authorities. The demonstration project can be also very useful in setting an example. In this article this process and its bottlenecks are discussed. Also after the many developments it is shown how far the original aims of the parties concerned have been realised.
