Abstract
One of the topics in the Dutch multi- year plan for traffic safety is the attack of dangerous situations. A literature review is made into the available knowledge in the field of traffic signal regulations and traffic safety. In the first place attention is paid to Dutch literature because the traffic regulations and traffic situations often differ from other countries in particular the priority of slow traffic at junctions, but international literature is also taken into account.
